Cole Waldhauser litigates complex disputes at the trial and appellate levels, representing companies and individuals in civil litigation and government enforcement actions. He has represented senior executives in SEC investigations, directed and cross-examined witnesses, and argued dispositive and non-dispositive motions in court. Cole’s briefs have achieved significant victories for his clients, including summary judgment for a national bank, partial summary judgment for a global PPE manufacturer, and several early dismissals in other high-value disputes.

Cole joined Spertus, Josephs & Minnick as an associate in 2025 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert J. Jonker on the United State District Court for the Western District of Michigan. Before clerking, Cole was a litigation associate at the Los Angeles office of Foley & Lardner LLP.

Cole is a graduate of UCLA School of Law and the University of Minnesota. In law school, Cole externed for the Honorable John A. Kronstadt on the United State District Court for the Central District of California. His writings have been published in faculty- and student-edited law journals, including Constitutional Commentary and the Georgetown Immigration Law Journal.
