James Spertus Recognized by the Daily Journal as a Top White-Collar Lawyer

  • Firm Accolades

December 18, 2024 — The Daily Journal has recognized James W. Spertus as one of the “Top White Collar Lawyers of 2024.” With over three decades of trial experience, Spertus has earned a reputation for integrity, diligence, and a remarkable ability to navigate complex legal challenges.

Among his cases, the Daily Journal highlighted Spertus' defense of Diana Teran in a case involving the use of public domain data. The publication also spotlighted Spertus’ representation of Andrew Left in a securities fraud case. "This case is being closely followed by securities analysts throughout the country because there has never been a case involving allegations that the publication of truthful information creates a duty to disclose private trading intentions,” Spertus told the Daily Journal.

Additionally, the Daily Journal featured Spertus’ groundbreaking work on the first-ever application of export regulations to fundamental university research, showcasing his ability to address cutting-edge legal issues with strategic precision.

Since entering private practice in 2006, James has built one of the nation’s premier litigation boutiques.  Spertus, Landes & Josephs, LLP mirrors Spertus’ relentless pursuit of excellence, strategic expertise, and dedication to client success.
