Matt Wallace litigates complex civil and criminal cases at both the state and federal levels. Prior to joining the Firm, Matt served as a Law Clerk for the Honorable Fernando M. Olguin and the Honorable Stephen V. Wilson, both of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. Matt was also a litigation associate at O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he represented a major pharmaceutical company defending product liability allegations in both federal multidistrict litigation and cases in state courts across the country. Matt’s experience at O’Melveny also included a white collar investigation, securities litigation, a civil fraud case, and numerous pro bono cases.
Matt earned his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School, where he served as Executive Notes Editor on the Michigan Law Review and pro bono chair of Outlaws. As a law student, Matt externed for the Criminal Division of the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. Before law school, Matt worked at a Washington, D.C.-based strategic communications and crisis management consultancy where he developed and executed public relations and lobbying campaigns on behalf of clients ranging from foreign governments to major corporations to non-profits. Matt earned his bachelor’s degree in International Politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service. While a student at Georgetown, Matt interned for United States Senator Dianne Feinstein, working in both her Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles offices.
