Ezra Landes handles a wide variety of civil and criminal matters, with a special emphasis on intellectual property, business disputes, and entertainment litigation. Ezra is a creative thinker and persuasive writer, who has successfully authored and argued numerous motions in state and federal court, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment and special motions to strike under California’s anti-SLAPP statute. Ezra has also authored a number of successful appellate briefs in the Second, Ninth, and District of Columbia Circuits and the California Court of Appeal. Ezra obtained a $307.5 million judgment for the heir of a wrongful death victim following a reversal by the D.C. Circuit in an opinion authored by the Hon. Merrick B. Garland that is often cited as precedent for international law and choice of law issues.

While at Pepperdine University School of Law, Ezra was the Note & Comment Editor of the Pepperdine Law Review and delivered the Student Speech at his law school graduation.

Ezra is a graduate of the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University, where he majored in Film and Television Production. After earning his B.F.A. from Tisch, Ezra completed a number of screenwriting assignments before transitioning to practicing law. Reeling in Reality, a film that he wrote and directed, was an Official Selection of the Angelica New Filmmakers New York Summer Series.
