Amanda Farfel is an experienced litigator who represents clients in high-stakes matters involving a broad range of issues, including constitutional and statutory interpretation, administrative law, antitrust, intellectual property, consumer protection, class action, and employment and contract disputes, across a diverse variety of industries, including, but not limited to, automotive, financial services, hospitality, media and entertainment, and real estate.  

Prior to joining the firm, Amanda was an associate at two top international law firms, Sidley Austin LLP and King & Spalding LLP.  Amanda has experience developing and executing client-specific case strategies in federal and state courts, international arbitration tribunals, and before mediators.  Amanda has managed all aspects of litigation, including the drafting of pleadings and briefs, execution of fact and expert discovery, preparation for and conduct of federal bench and civil jury trials, and preservation and presentation of appellate arguments.  Amanda’s extensive appellate practice includes researching and drafting briefs submitted to the United States Supreme Court, United States Courts of Appeals, California Supreme Court, and California Courts of Appeal.

Amanda has also devoted considerable time to pro bono causes, representing domestic violence survivors, immigrants, and small businesses, serving as a member of the New Leadership Council of the Family Violence Appellate Project (FVAP) since 2015, and participating in mentoring and tutoring programs.

Amanda earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she was Executive Senior Editor of the Southern California Law Review and President of the Women’s Law Association, and her B.A., cum laude, from Georgetown University.  Following law school, Amanda honed her legal research, writing, and advocacy skills as a law clerk to the Honorable Ferdinand F. Fernandez of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the Honorable Ernest M. Robles of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California.
