Payton Lyon litigates complex civil and criminal cases at both the state and federal levels.  Before joining the firm, Mr. Lyon served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Frederick F. Mumm, United States Magistrate Judge, in the Central District of California.

Mr. Lyon earned his law degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles.  While in law school, Mr. Lyon worked as a student volunteer for the Loyola Law School Project for the Innocent, where he helped secure the release of a client who had served over three decades in prison for a murder he did not commit.  During his time at Loyola, Mr. Lyon also served as an extern to the Honorable Alka Sagar, United States Magistrate Judge, and as an extern in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
